Louis Vuitton unveiled a very cool game which celebrates their 200th year anniversary. It is an art-infused video game that blends education, entertainment and escapism. It is embedded with 30 NFTs. NFTs stand for non-fungible tokens which can be crypto-currency assets. Digital artist Mike ‘Beeple’ Winkelmann created ten of these NFTs in the game. In March 2021, Beeple shattered the record for most expensive digital artwork with Everydays: the first 5,000 days, a collage piece that sold at Christie’s for a value of $69.3m.
We don’t know yet if you’ll be able to trade them with people or they’ll be rare.
The Louis the Game’s protagonist and brand mascot, Vivienne, is cute and kind of creepy at the same time. This game is about Louis Vuitton’s journey throughout his life. You learn his history when you collect the candles unlocks a postcard containing an anecdote throughout the game.
So far, I’ve only played level 1, and it’s a pretty cute game! So, try it out! It’s fun!
Louis: The Game will officially launch worldwide on 4 August, exactly 200 years after Vuitton’s birth. The app, designed for both iOS and Android, will be available to download through the App Store and Google Play.
